A few months ago a friend of mine got together a bunch of us and we read aloud Plato’s symposium. To add reality to posing as a bunch of libidinous Greeks having a dinner party, we all took a drink whenever the word love was used (its nature being the main subject). It took us nearly 5 hours to complete the whole thing. I can’t promise that Glyn Hughes delivers all the insanity and bad science of the original in 22 minutes, but I’m sure a smaller hangover awaits readers of the squashed version.
