Post-election round up

I have a lot that I could say about the election. It’s sad, but the party with the clearest vision won (that’s not saying a terrible lot). I’ve been watching JFK and MLK speeches all evening, trying to remind myself that there used to be serious people moving America forward. In ten years the Democratic party might grow up again and appeal to the folks just on the other side of 48%, and I will be happy to be around and to see it. Listening to the frothy call-ins on C-SPAN last night (late late last night) made it clear what the problem is right now.

This round up at Winds of Changes says 80% of what I want to say, and 80% more eloquently than I could possibly be without a good excerpter, so I’m just linking to it. Enjoy, question, and get out of the echo chamber.
